Serpette, certainly the most select of the markets, has become a worldwide reference for top-of-the-range antiques
In this 1970s, the dealer Alain Serpette purchased this former garage and gradually set up some hundred stands. This indoor market became one of the most thriving in the flea market. Selling silverware, jewellery, mirrors, tableware and travel accessories from the Antiquity to the 70's, numerous dealers moved into Serpette and acquired an international reputation.
Regular re-stocking of merchandise and their search for one-off items made it an essential rendezvous for interior designers and others from France and abroad.
Serpette is a favourite place of stars. The list is long of those celebrities who regularly scour Serpette’s indoor aisles, either with a precise idea of what they are looking for or in search of that something special.
