Rare wall-lamp applique G1 by Pierre Guariche, in superb condition, from 1954. Acquired from the original owner, residing in the same Parisian flat for over six decades.
The G1 lamp designed by Pierre Guariche in 1951 became a marker of french 1950s design. It is distinguished by a spun metal shade and two light sources providing direct and indirect lighting. Adorned with a solid brass ball acting as a counterweight, its brass arm seems to explore the limits of gravity.
