Ghau reliquary pendant with stamped decoration and set with a turquoise
Tibet, Nepal, 19th century
Bronze, brass, turquoise
Long. : 16.5cm – Width. : 14.5cm

Box with stamped decoration, shamanic motifs on a background of beaded scrollwork. The heart has a turquoise cabochon; the edge is smooth. The bails are simple, one of which has two quillons.
The lid on the back is made of bonze, engraved with a symmetrical shamanic motif.

This Ghau reliquary pendant was intended for the transport and conservation of precious or prayer objects. It was worn around the neck.

Very good state.
