Roman style in monobloc brass with symmetrical cruise and handle adorned with 18 rows of scales. Strong pommel with the imperial eagle in relief; it is surmounted by a dome receiving the rivure cruising button. Cruising hallmarked with a star on each of the quillons.

Double-edged symmetrical steel blade hollowed out with three hollow sides on each side; heel marked "Manufacture Royale du Klingenthal et Aout 1817"; it bears four hallmarks, including those of the director of the Klingenthal factory JI KRANTZ, the reviser FL LOBSTEIN; and the JCBICK First Class Controller Hallmark.

Original leather tie.

Model 1816 scabbard in blackened leather, stamped from the Châtellerault factory, with two brass fittings, globular dart, yoke with trigger guard.
