Large folding knife Nontron.

Total open length 54cm

Sage leaf blade with one edge, throughout its length.
The boxwood handle ending in a ball shape with a brass carrying ring.
Brass safety ferrule, struck with the initials CT
Very good condition.

The Nontron knife is considered to be the ancestor of French knives. The knife-making tradition has been perpetuated since 1653 when the forge and the workshop of the first master knife-maker were installed in Nontron.
