Pair of flintlock pistols, platinum à la Miquelet.
Spain, circa 1760.
Caliber 18mm.
Total L. 30.5cm - Barrel L. 16.5cm
Steel, silver and wood.

Steel barrel, with sides, then round, finished by bead. Blued finish and richly decorated with silver damask, gold-ground engravings, lily flowers. Bears the gold initials JE and the harquebusier's crest.
Tail in white polished steel and chiseled with foliage.
Platinum flat body, flint, known as Miquelet, with hammer column; the whole is then chiseled.
Counter-platinum in chiseled silver. Steel belt strap.
The set of fittings is chased silver and decorated en suite.
Walnut frame. The heel is silver, it goes up along the butt to offer an openwork decoration, representing a vase on a column.
Wooden stick with silver brass tip.

Very good condition (a section of the belt clamp screws is broken)
