This revolver would have belonged to a prostitute; complete in a box, with its dagger on garter, also called prick. Its rocket is in mother-of-pearl and its sheath in leather. A lace elastic made it possible to conceal the knife under the skirt.

The revolver was kept in a brown leather holster adorned with the same rose decoration as the scabbard of the edged weapon.

We can easily imagine the danger that prostitutes could sometimes incur. Risky business it is necessary to be able to protect yourself or even sometimes to threaten customers. Defense aids were concealed, embellished, appropriate – we noted the roses, note also the gold dollar symbol.

A more common and well-known tool is the dagger of virtues, called a “bitchick”. It is the combination of these two defenses that could guide us as to the particular status of this woman: she probably had to face more danger, such as perhaps the management of a salon or a brothel.

This collector's weapon is, according to article L311-2 of the Internal Security Code, classified as collector's weapons, category D. Its acquisition and possession are free. We remind you that their sale is prohibited to minors.
