Romantic dagger depicting Adam and Eve.
19th century France
Steel, silver brass
Total L.: 27.5 - L. of blade: 19.5cm

Handle in silver brass; guard with two quillons representing heads of roaring lions. The rocket symbolizes Adam and Eve. Him, surmounted by a female figure, she by a skull, in a rococo decoration, with the snake at his feet.
Powerful two-edged steel blade, three ribs on each side; high thickness at the heel which is symmetrically thinner to form the blade
