It is accompanied by two NASA decorations.

It retains its white label on the inside of the collar, its badges and badges on the outside.

James Frederick Buchli, now 77, was a naval officer, engineer, test pilot, USMC colonel and NASA astronaut.

Born on June 20, 1945 in New Rockford, North Dakota in the United States, he became an engineer at NASA in 1978 and joined the TFNG (Thirty-Five New Guys), also called Astronaut Group 8 (NASA Astronaut Group 8). It is the eighth group of astronauts from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

It has four missions in space.

The first, STS-51-C, launched on January 24, 1985 in the space shuttle Discovery OV-103, had five men. It corresponds to the 15th flight of NASA and the 3rd of the shuttle.

The second takes place the same year on October 30: STS-61-A, Spacelab scientific mission, the 22nd NASA mission which has eight men aboard the Challenger shuttle.

The third TS-29, on March 13, 1989, had five men in the same shuttle as the previous one and refers to NASA's 28th space shuttle mission.

Finally, its fourth and final mission aboard the space shuttle Discovery (STS-48) took place on September 12, 1991 and also included five astronauts.

It thus accumulates a total of twenty days and ten hours in orbit.

The first medal is the "NASA Space Flight Medal", awarded to the participant of an American space mission mission.

The second medal is the "NASA Exceptional Bravery Medal", awarded to highlight an act of bravery.
