Created in the 1960s, this set consisting of a sofa and a pair of armchairs is today iconic of Brazilian modernist design, and it has largely contributed to the recognition of the Liceu de Arte e Oficios as an important workshop. Creation.
The line of the back foot in a curve drawing a tension gives a strong dynamism which is perfectly balanced with the verticality of the front foot. The armrests are gently curved, which is a characteristic of Brazilian modernism, closer to natural forms and the omnipresence of nature in this country.
This organic design brings the visual and tactile lightness that completes the sensuality of the wide open backrest in order to provide pleasant ventilation to this room.
Finally, the wood gives a warm note with its brown hue verging on dark red, with lighter veins which form ocher patterns.
