Belotti, Giandomenico

Giandomenico Belotti (1922 - 2004)

Graduate of architecture at the University of Venice, Giandomenico Belotti turns to industrial design, restoration, urbanism and research. In collaboration with the publisher Alias, he created the Spaghetti chair in 1979, revolutionizing Italian design. This chair is in the collections of the MoMA and the Triennale Design Museum in Milan. Its "Green" collection of outdoor furniture also makes a splash in the world of design. He became director of urban planning, architecture and industrial design for the Cooperative Designing Company (SCP), where he works in developing countries such as Argentina, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Costa Rica, Mozambique and Tunisia.
