Mangiarotti, Angelo

Angelo Mangiarotti was born in 1921 in Milan and graduated in 1948 from the Polytechnic School of that same city. He will work as a designer in Italy but also in the United States where his work is established as innovative. He will even become a professor at the Design Institute of Technology in Illinois.

Mangiarotti is known for his sculptural design objects combining materials from the Italian past such as marble, to innovative designs that garner unanimous support from the public and peers. Let us retain prolific associations with publishers such as Portescap, Knoll or Munari.
