Pascal Mourgue was born in 1943, brother of the equally illustrious Olivier Mourgue (1939). Graduated from the Boulle School and the National School of Decorative Arts of Paris. Pascal Mourgue started working as an interior designer in the late 1960s.
In 1982 he focused on furniture design but also tapestry design, drawing for Knoll, Cinna or Cassina but also internationally. He will be consecrated as the best French designer of the year in 1984 and won the Grand Prix of contemporary furniture criticism in 1986.
Today his creations are present among others at MoMA in New York. Pascal Mourgue left us in 2014.
