Exposing intimacy. Bengt Hedberg (1868 - 1953): The Family as Model(s) focuses on the family, a declaration of love on paper. On the occasion of the Fête des Puces, this exhibition presented at Paul Bert Serpette allows us to discover another side of this Swedish artist, primarily known for his landscapes rooted in Nordic tradition.

Long preserved by the artist's descendants, these works on paper offer a glimpse into family life in Sweden at the dawn of the 20th century. The artist created portraits of his loved ones, captured in everyday scenes, as well as that of Valla, their dog. Brief explanatory texts often accompany these drawings, inspired by the illustrations.
