REMIX GALLERY presents Christian Duc - "Synthèse"
Christian Duc is a Franco-Vietnamese designer and decorator. In the 1980s, he was a major player in the new French design scene and contributed to its international influence.
A birth in 1947 in colonial Saigon, the Beaux-Arts in Philadelphia, studies of English literature in Paris, illustration in Amsterdam, decoration in post-Bauhaus Berlin in the 1970s ...
In 1978, his decoration shop in Les Halles was a motley and cosmopolitan selection of his love at first sight. His first productions then emerge. Synthesis of all these influences, his designs seek a sober perfection, combining timelessness and modernity. The purity of the lines, light and simple, speaks to us of the past while making us dream of the future.
Remix Gallery, a forerunner in the enhancement of French design of the 80s, has been collecting Christian Duc pieces for many years.
Through the Synthèse exhibition, Valérie Bouvier and Antoine Nouvet invite us, from September 11 to October 31, 2021, to discover for the first time an eclectic selection of her creations.
They are currently preparing the first monographic work dedicated to this designer.
