To design their space, stand F33 hall 7 , the Puces de Saint-Ouen gave carte blanche to Alessandro Moriconi, a rising figure in the new generation of interior designers. “YOUR DECOR DELIVERED IN A BOX” " The Saint-Ouen flea market has always been an inexhaustible source of inspiration for me and a real breeding ground for my creative projects. Their diverse range of vintage pieces, full of history and emotion, perfectly matches my vision of interior design: to breathe a heritage dimension and a unique soul into each project. For me, hunting for bargains at the flea market goes far beyond the professional sphere: it is a passion ." Alessandro Moriconi, decorator Maison & Objet: the Saint-Ouen Flea Market through the eyes of Alessandro Moriconi Each year, the editions of the Maison & Objet trade fair contribute to the excitement and dynamism of the Puces de Saint-Ouen, an essential place for decoration professionals and seasoned bargain hunters from all over the world. With 1,200 antique dealers, some of them early second-hand dealers, others renowned experts or even true trend setters, the Puces de Saint-Ouen is an obvious part of this trade fair in perpetual search for new creative horizons. In order to stage the space, Les Puces de Saint-Ouen gave carte blanche to Alessandro Moriconi, a worthy representative of the new guard of interior decorators. A fervent fan of his artistic direction for some time and of the projects he has carried out with his teams, the Puces solicited his eye, with the sole constraint of surveying the markets that make up this unique territory. Thanks to his knowledge of the Puces and his complicity with the merchants, he thus gathered a fine selection of pieces of furniture, old textiles, art objects and collectibles in accordance with his project. The Flea Market, an inexhaustible source of inspiration for Alessandro Moriconi A Parisian for 10 years, Alessandro Moriconi is particularly fond of the Puces de Saint-Ouen, both professionally and personally: "Going in search of objects that have already lived, then giving them a second life in a new environment stimulates my creativity and awakens a constant curiosity in me. These finds allow me to give each project a unique character, while creating a warm atmosphere steeped in history. It is in this spirit that I enthusiastically accepted the challenge proposed by the Puces de Saint-Ouen and Maison & Objet: to design an innovative scenography." Alessandro Moriconi’s Craft Boxes at Maison & Objet With his Craft Boxes designed for Les Puces de Saint-Ouen, Alessandro Moriconi delivers his three decors to the Maison & Objet trade fair. He thus plays with the codes of the Puces: in Saint-Ouen, professionals, amateurs and novices can buy an imposing piece of furniture, without having to order it, and have it delivered directly to the four corners of the world. Like these boxes that protect furniture, works and objects of art, and allow their transport in complete safety, the Craft Boxes protect Alessandro Moriconi's selection and constitute a showcase for these second-hand pieces. Ready to be delivered to a customer, they allow you to reconstitute an entire decor. They thus take their place at Maison & Objet, an international event for the decoration, design and art of living sector.. These boxes will be an invitation to discover how design can tell a story while remaining modular and adaptable to different contexts. They also illustrate my approach: drawing on the past to shape the future, while celebrating the craftsmanship and heritage that make the Puces de Saint-Ouen a must-see destination for vintage lovers and decoration enthusiasts."
