Born in 1963, Laurent Vanlian began his antiques business in 1983 by importing antique furniture from England, Spain, Portugal, and the Netherlands to his premises in Seine-et-Marne, near Fontainebleau. In 1993, he moved to Saint-Ouen, to the Paul Bert Market, where he developed a business specializing in 19th-century antique lighting and period furniture and objects from the 18th and 19th centuries, with a particular interest in the creations of the great Parisian houses of the second half of the 19th century. In 2010, he exhibited objects by Geoffroy Dechaume at the emerging talent section of the Paris Biennale des Antiquaires. Today, he passionately champions furniture and objects from this period to leading French and international interior designers, as well as private collectors.
