Cavalry officer's sabre
Prussia, 19th century
Steel, brass, horn, copper
Long. total: 92; Long. blade: 78 cm

Gold-plated brass frame.
Long-tailed skullcap with a leonine head and red glass bead eyes, frieze of leafy motifs.
Joint arch decorated with oak leaves.
Guard chiseled with oak leaves and bay leaves.
Quillon with leonine head.
Ears with two sabers and two crossed flags on one side and a coat of arms on the second side.
Brown horn rocket filigree with copper wire.
Slightly curved blade with groove.
Leather tie.
Black sheet steel scabbard with a bail ring.
