Yatagan type blade with one cutting edge and one false edge, hollow sides, marked "Mfr Imple de St Etienne August 1870".
Guard with quillon facing downwards, serial number "38806", closed ring.
Brass rocket with fifteen grooves, rivet button, spring facing outwards.
Sheath made of sheet steel.
Belt loop.
Control punches.
