Round barrel with rifled bore, blue finish.
Steel frame engraved with scrolls, nickel-plated finish, numbered "2738" and marked "PL Breveté SGDG" on the underside.
Checkered trigger, serial number "2738" and monogrammed "V" inside.
Handle plates in blue-finished steel.
Bail ring.
Seven-shot semi-automatic system.
Original leather case.
Invented by Jacques Rouchouse in 1889.
Around 1890, Jacques Rouchouse succeeded Juste Escoffier as head of his gun shop located at 7, rue Villeboeuf, in Saint-Étienne. Juste Escoffier was the son of Félix Escoffier, former contractor for the Saint-Étienne Arms Factory.
