SABER for a chasseur officer, model 1792

Steel, brass, sheepskin, copper
Long. total: 94; Long. blade: 81 cm

Flat cap, chiseled with three lines, topped with a diamond-shaped rivet button with a long tail.
Joining arch joining the cruise forming a right angle, with curved diamond-shaped ears underlined by a line.
Straight quillon ending in a four-faceted button, chiseled with lines.
Rocket covered with sheepskin, filigree with twisted copper wires.
Single-edged and counter-edged blade, with hollow sides, engraved on the first third with bundles of weapons, foliage, flowers, a hunter, all enhanced with gold; flat back chiseled with a sun and a star enhanced with gold.
Leather scabbard, silver-plated brass chape and rivet decorated with lines, lyre-shaped dart.
Two bail rings.
