MEDALLION depicting CHRIST PANTOCRATOR, mounted as a PENDANT

Enamel, vermeil?, pearls and semi-precious stones
Height: 14.5 cm; Width: 10 cm

Oval medallion depicting Christ Pantocrator in bust, polychrome enamelled on a blue background, his haloed head is framed by the letters "IC" and "XC", the usual abbreviation for "Jesus Christ"; blessing with his right hand and holding the Book in his left.
The mount is probably made of chased vermeil with inscriptions and punctuated with square cabochons of semi-precious garnet-colored stones, interspersed with four small enameled medallions bearing initials.
Beaded border all around.
Openwork upper mount in the shape of a crown, decorated with scrolls and pearls, topped with a cross.
Integrated suspension bail.
Smooth and domed reverse, fitted with a rectangular plaque engraved with letters, dated "1821" and chased with a cross in a circle.
