Modernist Desk by Herbert Hirche for Holzapfel - Teak - Ca 1960

Le goût de l'antiquité

Description

Superb desk by German designer Herbert Hirche edited by Holzapfel in the 1960s.
The association between Herbert Hirche and Holzapfel gave birth to a whole series of quality offices.
Typical of the modernist movement, this desk is also assimilated to the famous Bauhaus movement born in Germany.
This desk respects beautiful proportions.
It is made up of a row of three suspended drawers, the last two of which are designed to accommodate all documentation in its metal storage.
It is entirely worked in teak with a magnificent patina.
The teak color comes nicely contrasted with the small dark gray square tube.
The great originality of this desk lies in its handles.
Indeed, the model of the handles is really atypical with this openwork aspect.
The manufacturer's label was found inside the first drawer.
