This large solid oak modernist coffee table is sure to add an element of French Brutalism to any living room. It was crafted in France by an unknown cabinetmaker in the 1960s. It features a large varnished top in petrified wood and slate marquetry resting on a solid brutalist oak wood base. This coffee table is a wonderful example of French Modernism of the 1950s and 1960s, and is reminiscent of pieces by Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Chapo. It has been fully restored and refinished, and is in superb condition. A monumental table, rare in this size, that would make a great centerpiece in a living room.
