Signed 'I. BONHEUR' on the embankment and foundry stamp Hippolyte PEYROL stamped on the edge at the back of the hind leg.

'NATIONAL SOCIETY FOR THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF AGRICULTURE PRIZE OF HONOR 1898' affixed to the terrace.

France, late 19th century, circa 1890.

Good condition. Rare cast during the artist's lifetime.
