This rare and distinctive egg chair is a creation by Michel Pigneres, dating back to 1972. It is crafted with a transparent altuglas shell, mounted on curved steel blades, attached together by four big flat screws. Its cushion has been reupholstered with a bold tiger-printed velvet from Luigi Bevilacqua. The materials chosen for the chair's structure, and of course its round shapes, are strong markers of the Space Age movement to which this creation by the French artist belongs. This piece is in great vintage condition, with very few scratches here and there on the lucite part, barely noticeable with this velvet fabric.
