Pair of armchairs by Borek Sipek - Neo Baroque - Leather - Ca 1980

Le goût de l'antiquité

Description

Surprising pair of armchairs by Czech designer and architect Borek Sipek.

Borek Sipek is considered the father of the neo-baroque style. He floods the world with his creations with surprising curves and eccentric designs. From furniture to tableware to lighting, Borek Sipek, who died in 2016, created a range of products that will make him the recognized designer he is today.

These armchairs are composed of a seat and a back in black leather held by an unusual base.

These are metal tubes which, using rigid plastic plate inside, create these curves.

Full of dynamism, the base blending with the armrests is made up of strips of leather woven on one side then the other.

Their style allows them to blend easily into very contemporary as well as very classic interiors.

Very good quality work.

The seat height is 47cm.

Width: 85

Height: 87

Depth: 65
