When the first monograph dedicated to the famous French designer Pierre Guariche is released, Aurélien Jeauneau, author, antiquarian and designer specialist, invites the architect Antoine Simonin from Studio Asai and Vincent Thévenon, French publisher to his gallery at the Paul Bert Serpette market. of fabric to come and select and stage its most beautiful pieces of furniture.

For the development of the book, the personal archives of the creator were opened, and Aurélien Juneau was able to work on unpublished documents. Lionel Blaisse, the co-author, was in charge of the interior architecture part.

 

Pierre Guariche is a French post-war designer. He is one of the most prolific and talented designers of his generation. For more than twenty years, he worked for avant-garde publishing houses: Steiner, Airborne, Minvielle and Meurop for furniture and Disderot for lighting. Originally with Joseph-André Motte and Michel Mortier from the first collective of designers, the Atelier de Recherche Plastique or the ARP (1954–1957), he was in charge from the 1960s on major projects, including the ski Isola 2000 in La Plagne and the prefecture of Evry.
