Charming 18th century painting "The overturned milk cane"
Oil on panel - Funny peasant scene representing children heckling and having overturned a milk duck, provoking the wrath of their mother who had undoubtedly just milked the cows behind her.
In the background the ruins of a church and a castle certainly imaginary, in the style of the time.
In the background on the right, a village in a valley by the sea.
The overturned milk cane is reminiscent of a Norman or northern scene.
Oak panel, not parquet.
Good condition. Inscription trace on the reverse at the top of the panel. Signature? Unreadable.
