Description
René Lalique vase, Bacchantes model, topaz patina, 1927
The Bacchantes vase was created by R. Lalique in 1927 in white and yellow, topaz and opalescent glass.
This copy is in topaz-colored glass giving an impression of bronze to the material.
After 1945, the Lalique house, directed by Marc Lalique, modernized the vase by smoothing the details of the body from a new mold
The difference between the two molds is obvious and makes it possible to distinguish the old pieces from the recent ones.
