Description
This sideboard illustrates the importance that the Móveis Cimo workshop has had on Brazilian design.
Made in the 1950s, its trapezoidal lines resting on four conical legs called "pé palito" in Brazil, in wood and metal finishes, draws a form that has become classic of the period.
The structure is in caviuna veneer, an exotic essence very appreciated for its warm golden blond tone.
Opening on the front with three caviuna drawers with inlays of horizontal wooden slats in a darker shade which traces a straight perspective responding to the round shape of the metal handles which are a visual reminder of the legs.
This piece owes its elegance to these games of materials and forms particularly mastered which combines simplicity with sensuality.
