Gilded bronze pedestal table with a top in white marble, supported by three legs, each made of three stems imitating bamboo which end in a grooved spinning top foot, the legs are connected to each other by a spacer decorated with a central lozenge. The veined white marble top is surrounded by a gallery. Beneath the gallery is an iron band decorated with crosses and rosettes. Above each of the three legs is a rosette in a square frame.

This pedestal table is very much in the spirit of a piece of furniture by Adam Weisweiler (1744-1820) but was made around 1950. At the end of the 19th century, such high quality furniture was, among others, produced by the Maison Jansen who was inspired by old French models.
