Gilt metal, lacquer and eggshell

Quadrangular cigarette holder in gilt metal, black lacquered and with decoration inlaid on the hinged lid with three bands of eggshells.

It opens with a push button on the side and has a hallmark on the inside – presumably from a Master Silversmith and the numbering “18” repeated twice and engraved “golden metal” in capital letters.
