Cap with long tail, border decorated with a frieze of oak leaves.

Junction arch decorated with a star, Ring decorated with two stars at two thirds of the length of the arc.

Shell with cut-out design representing four flags intertwined in laurel and oak leaves.

Blade with reed back and extended edge, signed "Manufacture d'armes de Châtellerault 1876 imperial order model 1855", "Prevel order of Richelieu Paris".
