Model 1717 flintlock rifle.

Pan barrel hallmarked with a fleur-de-lys, baguette.

Strong sinker with flat body and gooseneck dog.

Walnut stock said to be in the shape of a cow's foot, marked with a fleur-de-lys, a "B" and an "L".

The rampart rifle was mainly used against the firing embrasures of fortifications or batteries, in attack as well as in defense.

This type of weapon has a strong barrel capable of supporting a propellant charge of about twenty grams of powder, allowing a heavy bullet to be thrown up to three hundred meters.

This weapon made it possible to eliminate targets categorized as priority: servants of artillery pieces, officers, etc. who were positioned beyond the reach of other weapons.

Very good state.
