SABER called Dha

Burma - Myanmar, 19th century

Iron, silver, wood and marine ivory

Long. total: 66.5 cm; Long. blade: 38.5 cm

Saber with wrought iron blade, single-edged and finished with a bevelled point.

The long section rocket is in marine ivory worked in a cylindrical way. The ferrule is made of wood covered with a silver yoke with filigree decoration.

The scabbard is made of wood covered with silver and enlivened with an applied decoration of twisted filigrees, scrolls and flowers.
