Johannes Andersen was born in 1903 in Denmark. After studying cabinetmaking,
He graduated and then worked for various furniture manufacturers and publishers...

In the 1930s, he founded his own architecture and design studio, but in addition to his own company, he began collaborating with various Swedish, Danish and Norwegian companies such as Trensum, CFC Silkeborg, Brahmin and Udlum Mobelfabik.

Johannes Andersen took advantage of his success in the 50s and 60s to create furniture of high quality in both materials and manufacturing combined with innovative functionality...

First the Scandinavian countries and then all of Western Europe particularly appreciated his design with soft, fluid and airy lines, he produced many pieces of furniture such as dining room tables, coffee tables, chairs, sideboards, sofas, armchairs etc. still very popular today...

His workshop closed in 1983, the year he turned 80, and he died in 1991.
