Description

Office of Czech designer Rudolf Vichr from the Bauhaus period.

The Bauhaus movement was born following the Great War in 1919 and brings together multiple disciplines including architecture, design and art as a whole.

It was Walter Gropius who founded the movement and defined its principles.

This desk is made up of a magnificent chromed tubular metal base, typically Bauhaus, a hanging box with 3 drawers and a superb beech top.

Indeed the tray reveals a charming veining. It is also particularly deep offering a nice workspace.

The desk is in very good condition, it has been restored.
