Description
“the skinned one”, a large studio plaster after Jean-Antoine Houdon. These anatomical models were used by students of Fine Arts or Medical Schools to learn the anatomy of the human body. Rarity on this model is that the muscle names are noted in pencil. Late 19th century, early 20th century.
Very good state of conservation.
Missing an arm.
