Description
These amazing dolls carved in a "bamboo" cylindrical hung in homes of entry, against the walls. Their colors and the use of fish nets stretched over them helped to keep them in place outside, in plain sight. When they fell, they were abandoned, delivered at random and replaced regularly every year. These Kike figurines (Nigeria-Cameroon), generally small size (20 to 50cm) are usually composed of three rods assembled together others with small pegs hardwood. They often work in pairs (male-female) or Janus.
