ORIENTAL HELMET called kulah khud
Ottoman Empire, Qâdjâr, Iran, 19th century

Made up of a rigid half-spherical steel stamp entirely engraved with a lively scene of calves and peacocks in a foliage and floral landscape and topped with a large quadrangular iron tip, this helmet has the particularity of being equipped with two feather holders on the front part, arranged on either side of the curved and cut riveted iron nasal.
The entire lower edge has an iron mesh hackle.
This armor helmet was worn by the Persians and Indians of the Ottoman Empire.
