Flintlock pistol, by REDEMONTE BERNADELLI
Italy, late 17th century
Steel, iron and wood
Long. Size: 51cm – Length. Barrel: 35cm – Cal. : 11.5mm

Barrel with sides, then round, signed on the upper band REDEMONTE BERNADELLI and engraved with a frieze along the length and a bundle of weapons at thunder level. Remains of engraving on the tail of the breech.
Roman-style platinum, finely engraved with a grotesque, scrolls and a frieze; the scroll dog is engraved afterwards. The counter plate in cut, openwork iron is silvered.
The trigger guard is decorated with a lion's head in the round. The long-tailed cap is made of iron with the nail engraved in the round with a lion's head. All iron fittings; inch piece.
Hollow-engraved walnut frame. Wooden wand with iron tips.

Beautiful state of conservation.
