This romantic dagger, also called a dagger of virtue, is made of steel and silver-plated bronze, worked in the round. The fusee is animated by Saint Michael armed with a dagger, slaying the dragon. The crossguard is centered on a bearded man's head, the guard with two quillons is in the form of leafy scrolls. The scabbard has a similar decoration on both sides: organized along an axis of axial symmetry, a winged owl's head tops a cartouche and flowery arches.
