(restoration to the right arm and neck and missing parts)
Statuette of Buddha in carved wood, standing with his hands in the gesture of fearlessness. His garment is richly decorated with friezes of flowers, punctuated with transparent cabochons and enhanced with gold lacquer of which traces remain.
Item appraised by the Portier firm in 2018.
Provenance: Former private Parisian collection, France.
