On May 24 and 25, Jean-Baptiste Bouvier will present an exhibition born from a gesture that is both spontaneous and thoughtful. The project originated with a porcelain service from Sarreguemines, dating from the early 20th century, purchased on the set of the television show Affaire Conclue. An outdated, almost kitsch object, destined for oblivion, it became the subject of creation when he decided to entrust it to two artists he has known and admired for 25 years : Karina Bisch and Nicolas Chardon.

With complete carte blanche, the duo seizes this domestic heritage and confronts it with their radical visual language. The result: a series of 120 plates painted by four hands. Each piece becomes the meeting point between the popular vocabulary of flea markets and a contemporary artistic approach.

But the project goes beyond the object: it takes the form of a global performance, extended by its broadcast on the program La vie des objets, following Affaire Conclue. For the first time, this program does not speak of restoration or market value, but of contemporary art, pictorial gesture, and temporality.

This exhibition questions the finite nature of objects and their place in our collective narratives. The works, priced between €150 and €600, are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. At once serious and tinged with irony, they shift the boundaries between popular media, conceptual art, and material culture. More than a diversion, this exhibition reveals an object's ability to replay its own history, not to prolong its life, but to alter its meaning.
