Articulated frame, marked “STARR'S PATENT JAN. 15. 1865.” on the right side and “STARR. ARMS. Co. NEW. YORK.” on the left side; hallmarked “B” and serial numbered “44259.”

Six-chamber barrel, serial number “44259”.

Wooden butt plates.

All parts with the same number.

Control punches.

Single action operation.

Good condition.

Manufactured by Starr in New York in 32,000 copies, including 25,000 for the Northern government, between 1863-1865.
