Barrel with sides then round, monogrammed “P” and punched, marked on the left side “MA C 1823”.
Short barrel with hood.
Silver barley grain rear sight.
Breech tail marked “Mle 1816” and engraved with the number “5”.
Flintlock, signed “Mre Rle de Maubeuge”; all pieces with the same number.
Signed wooden frame, chiseled “RL7” and “5.”.
Finely checkered wooden stock.
Underguard shield with grid.
Brass trigger guard stamped with an “M” and numbered “5”.
Guilloché screw holders.
Brass fittings.
