Straight single-edged silver blade shaped on the counter-edge, throat, engraved with floral motifs.
Silver ferrule, subsequently chiseled.
Blackened wooden rocket carved in a grid pattern.
Pommel with silver cap chiseled with floral motifs, rivet button.
Black leather scabbard decorated with a coin marked with the profile of King George V with the inscriptions "GEORGE V KING EMPEROR"; nielloed silver yoke chased with floral motifs.
Steel cofferdams, silver miter, blackened wooden fuse carved in a grid weave; pommel with circular cabochon of purple glass, silver cap chiseled with geometric patterns.
In Scottish Gaelic, the term "sgian dubh" means "small knife." It is one of the attributes of officers of the Gordon Highlanders.
