Silver and steel
Long. : 101; Long. blade: 86 cm
Silver-plated bronze mount. Vertically grooved olive pommel; rivet button. Wooden knuckle with silver filigree. Knuckle arch, quillon, knuckle arch, and border of the guard plate decorated with sinuous lines, specific to the King's Corps Guards.
Straight, triangular blade with slightly concave sides, engraved: COMPAGNIE.DE.BEAUVEAUX - GARDES.DU.CORP.DU.ROY, these markings are flanked by fleurs-de-lis. The third side is engraved with a radiant sun, the arms of France, and a trophy of arms.
The blade is signed on the heel: GUILMIN FOURBISSEUR in VERSAILLES and the MOUCHETTE mark in SOLINGEN.
Without sheath.
Good overall condition; minor wear to the silver plating.
