Complete Samurai Armor
Japan, Edo period (1603-1868)

Iron, lacquer, silk, leather, horsehair

Kabuto in lacquered leather of the suji-bachi type, tehen chiseled with leafy motifs, hachi comprising twenty-eight suji, shikoro comprising three blades, mabizashi with shinodare in gilded brass engraved with stylized waves, with two long blades, maedate representing a mon.
Mempo in black lacquered leather and red lips with horsehair moustache; gorget made of three lacquer strips.
Do in two parts covered with black lacquer, oshitsuke no ita and wakilta covered with navy blue silk, closing on the side.
Navy blue silk kote, decorated with geometric patterns, lacquer trim.
Kusazuri in lacquer composed of six strips, kanmuri ita covered in blue silk decorated with geometric patterns.
Haidate with chikara-gawa in beige silk with geometric and zoomorphic patterns, Iyo in leather covered with lacquer.
Suneate in black lacquer.
Slippers covered with horsehair.
